“Good food is very often—even most often—simple food.”
-Anthony Bourdain
What’s good, everyone? I’m Matthew, and this is my site. It’s a work in progress, and designed off an existing template, so please bear with me while I work out the kinks.

So, what’s this blog about? Mainly food. Some exercise. Mostly food. Probably a little football and hockey and baseball. Definitely a lot of food. And new adventures in life. Speaking of new adventures, did I mention the food? But I have other hobbies and interests that may come up in conversation—as one-sided of a conversation as a blog is, anyways…. But, surface they may, so reader be warned. I may also write about my wife. She is both my muse and my anchor; she makes me feel like I can fly; but, she also helps keep me grounded, especially when my hubris gets the best of me.
Now, back to the food. Because that’s the primary muse for this blog. As a Vegas native, I grew up in the service industry: namely, in restaurants; and, over the many years, I grew a deep and profound love for food. I’ve since left the food industry, though, as the pace of commercial cooking was something I distinctly did not love. However, home cooking, especially for people I care for, is.
And so, I’m here sharing that love with you all, en masse. And, I hope you enjoy it. My hope is to help bring about new awareness, and maybe even change some perceptions and misconceptions about food along the way. I’ve always been a believer that people who close themselves off to different foods, only really close themselves off to other people. So, with that… Bon appetite!
